I was extremely upset when The Farmer & The Fox closed at Cairdean Estate, but was thrilled to hear that they were working on a new restaurant to take it's place. At Brasswood, they replaced Scottish food with Italian food and brought over staff and the chef from Tra Vigne. I was invited to friends & family night last week before their official opening and was more than pleased with everything we tried.


Our meal started with a salad that included mixed greens, pears, and beets. It was absolutely delicious and I'm pretty sure I served myself thirds. We received the brussel sprouts along with the salad and they did not disappoint. Next up were the meatballs. I'm usually not a big meatball person, but OH MY GOSH they were amazing! The meatballs were definitely the highlight of the entire meal! We then received the rigatoni, which had bacon in the sauce and was cooked to perfection. Last but not least, we had the flounder with rainbow chard and potato puree. I'm not a huge fan of flounder, but the potatoes and chard made me not care. Great dish!

We also ordered a plethora of cocktails for the table. I ordered the last drink on the cocktail menu (I can't remember the name, but it is pictured at the top of the post). My boyfriend ordered the Sweet & Caliente (grapefruit, tequila, and jalapeno), which was just the right amount of spicy. I tried all but one or two drinks on the menu since we all ordered something different and wasn't disappointed by any of the cocktails. The Vintner's Punch mentally transported me to a beach in Mexico and was probably my absolute favorite. The restaurant is now officially open Weds-Sun from 12-9pm and is definitely worth a visit. The have a wine tasting room, art gallery, shop, and bakery at Cairdean Estate, as well and all of them are worth going to at least once.

I can honestly say that I have spent the past 13 years of my life trying to find the perfect skincare routine for me. I have combination skin that is SUPER sensitive. Recently, I decided to purchase Devonne by Demi to give it a try. The line has a money back guarantee, which is how I convinced myself that it was a good purchase. I have never been so pleased with a skincare line in my entire life. The box came with a deep facial cleanser, hydrating radiance mist, a 3-in-1 moisturizing primer, a clarifying mud masque, and a soy candle. 
The packaging is adorable and all of the products smell incredible. In the booklet that it came with, it tells you what each product smells like (ex. the facial cleanser smells like apple, willow bark, reishi mushroom, lemon peel, and wakame) and gives you information about what the ingredients do to benefit your skin. Packing & scent aside, this product is natural and is able to make my face feel clean, soft, and balanced. 
I use the facial cleanser first thing in the morning, followed by the mist and primer. I repeat the process in the evening. Every other day I also do the mud masque in the morning, which takes about 15 minutes start to finish. The basic skincare routine takes me less than 2 minutes and is incredibly invigorating. I have asked so many people to feel my skin that it's starting to become ridiculous. The line is cruelty free, paraben free, gluten free, sulfate free, vegan, and has no harsh chemicals. The fact that it's everything I could want in a skincare line and is only $30 for the entire set is amazing. The product was specifically made for people who are out of the acne phase, but before the wrinkles phase...which is absolutely perfect! I hate that most products are either made for acne or for anti-aging. This one was created just to smooth and maintain skin. Let's talk about one of my latest brand obsessions - Fermob. Fermob specializes in simple, sleek, metal outdoor lounge furniture. It's eco-friendly, fun, and chic. All of the furniture has UV protection so that the beautiful colors don't fade.


Their Bistro & Monceau (pictured above) chairs are a favorite and there are so many colors to choose from that there's bound to be one that fits your taste. I sound like an infomercial right now, but their furniture is seriously amazing.


Because of Fermob's simple designs, these pieces are an investment and are meant to last for years. Their guaranty lasts 1-3 years (dependent on the protection treatment you get on the piece of furniture), which as far as outdoor furniture goes, is amazing. 


I was first introduced to Fermob at Poor House in Napa. Poor House is an awesome interior design store in my hometown, in case you're wondering. It is also the place where I was introduced to Tempaper, which I wrote about the other day.
